NOT WHAT I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE - LINDA MAY - TWIN FALLS, IDAHO, US
NEITHER MY CATS NOR I WERE IMPRESSED WITH THIS. I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE LARGER. DIDN'T WANT TO STAY IN MAT. GUESS IT WAS FOR YOUNGER CATS AND IT NEEDS THE REST OF THE SET TO WORK OUT WELL.

We had an issue where we needed to add another ball toy to the house. We tried the Bergan after watching videos and reading reviews and were a little surprised to find that we loved it and our felines didn't. This seems to be a great success. There was a little bit of human user error on installation and the cats knew how to take the ball covers off. I got two ball systems, the cat scratcher and the massage center (I spoil them a wee bit). So far they're ignoring the scratch pad and now that the cat nip is gone the massage center also but loving the ball track that is a modified 8 around the two centers. I prefer this track since it has the covers since our baby of the house knows how to pop balls out of tracks....

This seems like a good idea but my cat ignored it after the first day mainly because the cardboard part pulls out of the plastic shell too easily. She could hook it and pull it free on her second try. Not much of a scratching pad. I tried repositioning the pad and even wrapping some tape around it to make it fit in the frame more snugly but she could still pull it free. In addition, the cardboard is easily pried apart so she can actually remove pieces of the layers and possibly choke on them. Now the whole thing's in the trash where it belongs.

This was recently purchased for Christmas to add to the Senses Play Circuit. My cats like the circuit but show no interest in the scratch pad so it's going in the pile to be donated. I don't really understand the concept of this scratch pad and obviously my cats didn't either. Oh well, perhaps by donating it some other cats may find it amusing.
